How to Deep Clean Your Home in One Day?

How to Deep Clean Your Home in One Day

Cleaning your home can be time-consuming and daunting. A busy schedule can make it more difficult to deep clean houses or apartments. Since I am a small homemade baker most of my time is spent in the kitchen baking cakes, cookies, and frosting. I need to do deep cleaning in kitchen specially Oven, microwave, Cabinet Cleaning from Inside and Out. And the fatigue to scrubbe grease from countertops and Backsplashes.

So I have no time to deep clean other parts of the house like the bathroom, and window cleaning, Vacuum the furniture to remove dust, and pet hair, remove dirt from carpets, or clean hard floors. Now let me tell you how I overcome home deep cleaning challenges by tackling one thing at a time and setting aside specific times for cleaning.

So that I can handle my baking professional and house duties well. Consider doing it over a couple of days rather than trying to do it all at once. Trust me you will not feel any burden in doing deep cleaning of the house.

Deep Clean Once A Week

Regular cleaning is a great approach to maintaining a clean and healthy environment. It always saves time and effort in removing dirt. Doing a deep cleaning once per week is also a good approach. Depending on what works best for your schedule. It usually takes about 8 to 9 hours to do full deep cleaning.

You can even choose any professional house cleaning service if you cannot do deep cleaning. But I prefer to deep clean my house by myself. And to keep myself motivated I listen to music while getting the supplies ready.

Laundry Room

Start with the laundry room and remove the bed sheets from the beds, throw the towels, and grab the blankets, into the laundry room in different piles. Starting with laundry makes a big difference. It will release a big burden as I’m cleaning the rest of the house throughout the day.

Dishwasher

Before washing dishes, I tried to complete the baking order and then gather dishes and cooking utensils around the house like plates, spoons lunchbox baking pans, glasses, etc. that need to be washed and start a load in the dishwasher. Since I am a barker I use the dishwasher 5 to 6 times a day to clean my baking utensils and pans with some manual cleaning of the cooking utensils.

Dusting And Window Cleaning

Time for dusting, but I exercise and have some snacks to boost my energy. Then I go from room to room hitting all of the door frames, furniture, pictures, and decorations with a duster. Curtain cleaning and fan cleaning are done once a month.

The dining table is used to be clean before and after every meal and that is my husband’s duty. After this went back to the kitchen to complete frosting the cake. Similarly, I go through and hit the windows that need cleaning, mirrors, cabinet doors, TVs, etc.

Vacuum

After that, I go to each room. Because my house is ranch-style, it’s easy for me to carry the broom, mop, vacuum, and cleaning caddy, so I start at the far corner, which for me is the master bathroom, and make my way to the master bedroom and then room to room in order. Vacuum the rug as well.

Bathroom

Bathroom cleaning includes shower, sink, toilet, and tiles in that order. Start with cleaning the Shower Curtain or Doors. Use baking soda to clean the Grout and bathroom sink. Then clean the bathroom countertops, and wash accessories like stand rug and Mats. Last, clean the tiles and put the wash hand towels the Right Way. Clean the Walls, and Ceilings after 15 to 20 days. And wallah the Toilet Sparkly Clean.

Kitchen

The kitchen is my last room, putting away the dishes I’ve done, then I clean the counters with soapy water. Wipe down the oven and clean the countertop. I pull the racks off my stove, wipe those down, and clean the burners and surface.

I checked the coffee maker filter if needed to be cleaned. I’ve already done the wipe-down on appliances and such at the beginning of the day. Finally, I empty the water from the sinks and scrub and raise it with warm water.

Cleaning supplies need to have some rest so do I. I put clean sheets away or put them on beds, as well as blankets. I fold any clothes I might have (usually not a lot since I do a load a day). I hang towels and put throw blankets back in their basket. And then I take a nap for approximately 30 minutes in my entirely clean house.

Ask for Help From a Professional

Sometimes, when I’m overwhelmed with a large number of baking orders and can’t find time to keep up with everything, I prefer to ask for help from a professional cleaner.
